Training & Technical Assistance Services (T/TAS) continues to be a leading authority on Head Start, Early Head Start, child care, early childhood, and human services issues. We provide training, consultation, and materials in education for children birth to five; services to young children with disabilities; medical, dental, nutrition, and mental health; human resources and fiscal management; program governance; and family and community partnerships. Backed by the resources and support of Western Kentucky University, T/TAS has provided uninterrupted Head Start technical assistance and training since 1973, documenting as many as 40,000 technical assistance and 34,000 training contacts annually and managing a multitude of local, area, state, regional, and Federal grants and contracts.
T/TAS has an unparalleled pool of expertise among our staff, all of whom are grounded in Head Start and Early Head Start services and have diverse educational credentials and rich professional experience. The T/TAS team offers expertise in disciplines such as early childhood education, child development, health, family/community partnerships, counseling, infant/toddler services, facilities, fiscal, program and human resources management, planning and organizational communications, program evaluation, adult education, technology, elementary/post-secondary education, and curriculum and resource development.
